Conductors and Insulators

Hello Class!

First I would like you all to review what current is by reading this website.

Next I would like for you to use your light bulb and batteries from your experimentation pack to test 5 different materials in your household and figure out whether they are insulators or conductors. Also try to figure out if some materials are better conductors than others.

Using the information that you have figured out from your experimenting, please answer the following questions:

1) If I have an unidentified metallic object, will it be a conductor?

2) What factors do you think contribute to whether on object will be a conductor or an insulator?

Question For Media Class: How can math and physics classes (that are primarily math based) use technology in a way that does supports the math basis of the class?
